QBS72S: Overcoming Barriers to Cancer Treatment
Quadriga is developing QBS72S, a novel, first-in-class chemotherapeutic agent that is transported by L-type Amino Acid Transporter 1 (LAT1) across the blood brain barrier and into rapidly growing cancer cells.

QBS72S is designed to act as a “Trojan Horse” by mimicking the structure of an aromatic amino acid. This enables access through the blood brain barrier and into cancer cells, mediated by the L-type Amino Acid Transporter (LAT1). Once inside, QBS72S forms DNA interstrand cross-links that ultimately lead to cell death.
